Prophet Isaac has only one Son Called Prophet Jacob (Yaqub Alayhay salam)
Some people say that the word Bani Ishaq refers to the ROMANS who are actually descendants of the so called 2nd son of Prophet Ishaq i.e. ESU or ISU .This baseless because of the following facts
Solid Proof from Ahadith that Romans are not Bani Isaac
This
is totally baseless as the following hadith clearly tells that the Romans are
from a totally different lineage than the Arabs.
حدثنا بشر بن معاذ العقدي حدثنا يزيد بن
زريع عن سعيد بن أبي عروبة عن قتادة عن الحسن عن سمرة عن النبي صلی الله عليه وسلم
قال سام أبو العرب وحام أبو الحبش ويافث أبو الروم. جامع ترمذی

ابی عروبة، قتادة، حسن، حضرت سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے
نقل کرتے ہیں کہ سام عرب کا باپ، حام حبشیوں کا باپ اور یافث رومیوں کا باپ ہے۔

Sayyidina Samurah (RA) reported from the Prophet (SALALLAHO
ALAYHAY WA SALLAM) that he said, “Arabs are children of “Saam” who is son of
Nooh(Noah), Romans are children of “Yafith” who is son of Nooh(Noah) and
Ethopians(Africans) are sons of “Haam” who is son of Nooh(Noah)”.[2]
حدثنا روح من كتابه حدثنا سعيد بن أبي
عروبة عن قتادة قال حدث الحسن عن سمرة أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال سام
أبو العرب ويافث أبو الروم وحام أبو الحبش وقال روح ببغداد من حفظه ولد نوح ثلاثة

حضرت سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی
علیہ السلام نے ارشاد فرمایا سام اہل عرب کا مورث اعلی ہے، یافث رومیوں کا مورث

ALAYHAY WA SALLAM) that he said, “Saam was the father of the Arab, “Yafith” the
father of the Romans and “Haam” the father of the Ethiopians. And the narrater
called “Rooh” said in the city of Baghdad that Prophet Noah has 3 sons, namely,
“Saam”, “Haam” and “Yafith”.[3]

The
above hadith clearly tells that Romans are not from the off springs of Prpohet
Ibraheem like the Arabs but are from an entirely different lineage than the
Arabs.
So
how can the Romans be called the Children of Isaac (who is the son of Prophet
Ibrahim)??????

Say (O Muslims), "We believe inAllah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrhim (Abraham), Ism'il (Ishmael), Ishque (Isaac), Ya'qb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbt [the twelve sons of Ya'qb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Msa (Moses) and 'Iesa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam)."(02:136)
أَمْ تَقُولُونَ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالْأَسْبَاطَ كَانُوا هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَى ۗ قُلْ أَأَنْتُمْ أَعْلَمُ أَمِ اللَّهُ ۗ وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ كَتَمَ شَهَادَةً عِنْدَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ﴿002:140﴾
کیا تمہارا کہنا یہ ہے کہ ابراہیم علیہ السّلام ً اسماعیل علیہ السّلام ً اسحاق ً علیہ السلام یعقوب علیہ السلام اور اولادیعقوب علیہ السلام یہودی یا نصرانی تھے تو اے رسول کہہ دیجئے کہ کیا تم خدا سے بہتر جانتے ہو ۔ اور اس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہوگا جس کے پاس خدائی شہادت موجود ہو اور وہ پھر پردہ پوشی کرے اور اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے غافل نہیں ہے- (140: 02)
Or say you that Ibrhim (Abraham), Ism'il (Ishmael), Ishque (Isaac), Ya'qb (Jacob) and Al-Asbt [the twelve sons of Ya'qb (Jacob)] were Jews or Christians? Say, "Do you know better or doesAllah (knows better...; that they all were Muslims)? And who is more unjust than he who conceals the testimony [i.e. to believe in Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him when he comes, written in their Books. (See Verse 7:157)] he has fromAllah? AndAllah is not unaware of what you do."

قُلْ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالْأَسْبَاطِ وَمَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَى وَعِيسَى وَالنَّبِيُّونَ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ﴿003:084﴾
پیغمبر ان سے کہہ دیجئے کہ ہمارا ایمان اللہ پر ہے اور جو ہم پر نازل ہوا ہے اور جو ابراہیم علیہ السلام ,اسماعیل علیہ السلام , اسحاق علیہ السّلام ًیعقوب علیہ السلام اور اولادیعقوب علیہ السلام پر نازل ہوا ہے اور جو موسٰی علیہ السلام , عیسٰی علیہ السلام اور انبیاء کو خدا کی طرف سے دیا گیا ہے ان سب پر ہے. ہم ان کے درمیان تفریق نہیں کرتے ہیں اور ہم خدا کے اطاعت گزار بندے ہیں (03:84)
Say (O Muhammad ): "We believe inAllah and in what has been sent down to us, and what was sent down to Ibrhim (Abraham), Ism'il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob) and Al-Asbt [the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)] and what was given to Msa (Moses), 'Iesa (Jesus) and the Prophets from their Lord. إِنَّا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ كَمَا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى نُوحٍ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ ۚ وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالْأَسْبَاطِ وَعِيسَى وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُونُسَ وَهَارُونَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَآتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ زَبُورًا﴿004:163﴾
ہم نے آپ کی طرف اسی طرح وحی نازل کی ہے جس طرح نوح علیہ السلام اور ان کے بعد کے انبیاء کی طرف وحی کی تھی اور ابراہیم علیہ السلام ,اسماعیل علیہ السلام ,اسحاق علیہ السلام ,یعقوب علیہ السلام , اولادیعقوب علیہ السلام,عیسٰی علیہ السلام ,ایوب علیہ السلام , یونس علیہ السلام ,ہارون علیہ السلام اور سلیمان علیہ السلام کی طرف وحی کی ہے اور داؤد علیہ السلام کو زبور عطا کی ہے ۔﴿004:163﴾
Verily, We have inspired you (O Muhammad ) as We inspired Nh (Noah) and the Prophets after him; We (also) inspired Ibrhim (Abraham), Ism'il (Ishmael), Ishque (Isaac), Ya'qb (Jacob), and AlAsbt [the twelve sons of Ya'qb (Jacob)], 'Iesa (Jesus), Ayub (Job), Ynus (Jonah), Hrn (Aaron), and Sulaimn (Solomon), and to Dawd (David) We gave the Zabr (Psalms).(04:163)
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۚ كُلًّا هَدَيْنَا ۚ وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ دَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَى وَهَارُونَ ۚ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ﴿006:084﴾
اور ہم نے اُنکو اسحاق علیہ السلام اور یعقوب علیہ السلام بخشے (اور) سب کو ہدایت دی۔ اور پہلے نوح علیہ السلام کو بھی ہدایت دی تھی اور ان کی اولاد میں سے داؤد اور سلیمان علیہ السلام اور ایوب علیہ السلام اور یوسف علیہ السلام اور موسیٰ علیہ السلام اور ہارون علیہ السلام کو بھی۔ یہ ہم نیک لوگوں کو ایسا ہی بدلہ دیا کرتے ہیں-﴿006:084﴾
And We bestowed upon him Ishque (Isaac) and Ya'qb (Jacob), each of them We guided, and before him, We guided Nh (Noah), and among his progeny Dawd (David), Sulaimn (Solomon), Ayub (Job),
Ysuf (Joseph), Msa (Moses), and Hrn (Aaron). Thus do We reward the gooddoers(06:84).
وَامْرَأَتُهُ قَائِمَةٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَاهَا بِإِسْحَاقَ وَمِنْ وَرَاءِ إِسْحَاقَ يَعْقُوبَ﴿011:071﴾
اور ابراہیم کی بیوی (جو پاس) کھڑی تھی ہنس پڑی تو ہم نے اس کو اسحاق اور اسحاق کے بعد یعقوب کی خوش خبری دی﴿011:071﴾
And his wife was standing (there), and she laughed (either, because the Messengers did not eat their food or for being glad for the destruction of the people of Lout (Lot). But We gave her glad tidings of Ishque (Isaac), and after him, of Ya'qb (Jacob).
وَكَذَلِكَ يَجْتَبِيكَ رَبُّكَ وَيُعَلِّمُكَ مِنْ تَأْوِيلِ الْأَحَادِيثِ وَيُتِمُّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى آلِ يَعْقُوبَ كَمَا أَتَمَّهَا عَلَى أَبَوَيْكَ مِنْ قَبْلُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَاقَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ﴿012:006﴾
اور اسی طرح خدا تمہیں برگزیدہ (ممتاز) کرے گا اور (خواب کی) باتوں کی تعبیر کا علم سکھائے گا۔ اور جس طرح اس نے اپنی نعمت پہلے تمہارے دادا پردادا ابراہیم اور اسحاق پر پوری کی تھی اسی طرح تم پر اور اولاد یعقوب پر پوری کرے گا۔ بیشک تمہارا پروردگار (سب کچھ) جاننے والا (اور) حکمت والا ہے-﴿012:006﴾
Thus will your Lord choose you and teach you the interpretation of dreams (and other things) and perfect His Favour on you and on the offspring of Ya'qb (Jacob), as He perfected it on your fathers, Ibrahm (Abraham) and Ishque (Isaac) aforetime! Verily, your Lord is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
فَلَمَّا اعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا نَبِيًّا﴿019:049﴾
اور جب ابراہیم ان لوگوں سے اور جن کی وہ خدا کے سوا پرستش کرتے تھے ان سے الگ ہوگئے تو ہم نے ان کو اسحاق اور (اسحاق) کو یعقوب بخشے اور سب کو پیغمبر بنایا-﴿019:049﴾
So when he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besidesAllah, We
gave him Ishque (Isaac) and Ya'qb (Jacob), and each one of them We made a Prophet(19:49).
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةً ۖ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَالِحِينَ﴿021:072﴾
اور (ہجرت کے بعد) ہم نے ان کو اسحاقؑ (بیٹا) اور یعقوبؑ (پوتا) عطا کیا اور ہم نے ان سب کو (اعلیٰ درجہ کا) نیک کیا۔﴿021:072﴾
And We bestowed upon him Ishque (Isaac), and (a grandson) Ya'qb (Jacob). Each one We made
righteous.(21:72)
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِ النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْكِتَابَ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَجْرَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ﴿029:027﴾
اور ہم نے ان کو اسحاق اور یعقوب بخشے اور انکی اولاد میں پیغمبری اور کتاب (مقرر) کر دی اور انکو دنیا میں بھی اس کا صلہ عنایت کیا اور وہ آخرت میں بھی نیک لوگوں میں ہوں گے. ﴿029:027﴾
And We bestowed on him [Ibrhim (Abraham)], Ishque (Isaac) and Ya'qb (Jacob), and ordained among his offspring Prophethood and the Book [i.e. the Taurt (Torah) (to Msa Moses), the Injeel (Gospel) (to 'Iesa Jesus), the Qur'n (to Muhammad ), all from the offspring of Ibrhim (Abraham)], and We granted him his reward in this world, and verily, in the Hereafter he is indeed among the righteous.(29:27)
وَاذْكُرْ عِبَادَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ أُولِي الْأَيْدِي وَالْأَبْصَارِ﴿038:045﴾
اور ہمارے بندوں ابراہیم اور اسحق اور یعقوب کو یاد کرو جو قوت والے اور آنکھوں والے تھے .﴿038:045﴾
And remember Our slaves, Ibrhim (Abraham), Ishque (Isaac), and Ya'qb (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding.(38:45)
The Most Important Verse of this Topic
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةً ۖ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَالِحِينَ﴿021:072﴾
اور (ہجرت کے بعد) ہم نے ان کو اسحاقؑ (بیٹا) اور یعقوبؑ پوتا عطا کیا اور ہم نے ان سب کو (اعلیٰ درجہ کا) نیک کیا۔﴿021:072﴾
And We bestowed upon him Ishaque (son), and Ya'qub Grandson. Each one We made
righteous.(21:72)
In the above verse the word " نَافِلَةً ۖ " is mentioned which stands for only 1 grandson.In English we have Singular and Plural tenses but in Arabic we have three tenses to mention number i.e
- Singular tense,
- Tense for Two and
- Plural tense (for more than Two).
The above word " نَافِلَةً ۖ " is the tense for Single and not for two
VERDICT OF QURAN
We see Holy Quran mentions only one son of Prophet Ishaaq(alayhay salam) i.e Prophet Yaqoob( Jcob oe Israel)(Alayhay salam).
If 12 sons of Prophet Yaqoob can be mentioned by Quran then why not the so called 2nd twin son of Prophet Isaaq is mentioned?
Where did the concept of 2nd Son of Isaac came from?
All this came from Bible which has already been distorted.Its a pity some Muslim scholars used these references and wrote books e.g Like Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari or Tabari in his book
- Tarikh al-Rusul wa al-Muluk (History of the Prophets and Kings)
and then his student Ibn Katheer mentioned his teacher's work in his book
2. Qisas Al-Anbiya ( History of Prophets )
Its sad that very weak references were used in both above books.
"Sometimes the author (Ibn Katheer) incorporated related local folklore or oral traditions, and many of the Qisas al-anbiya's tales echo medieval Christian and Jewish stories."
Ibn Katheer and Tabari themselves warned against Jewish Traditions
Also, Ibn Kathir quotes Imam Tabari as saying...
Ibn Jarir said, "The Qur'an is trustworthy over the Books that preceded it. Therefore, whatever in these previous Books conforms to the Qur'an is true, and whatever disagrees with the Qur'an is false.'' (Tafsir Ibn Kathir's commentary on Quran 2:41, You can also see Al Tabari saying this himself in his commentary on
Surah 2:41)
So if we go according to the rule set by the authors of these books themselves,then we must reject the concept of the 2nd son of Prophet Isaaq (Alayhay salam).
WARNING
There are many false stories about Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and many other Prophets found in Ibn Ishaq, Al-Tabari, the Tafsir of Al-Tabari, Ibn Kathir, Zad Al Maad etc. So I want Muslims to accept only Ahadith from the Major Ahadith books and not by some history book.
If a story of a Prophet is not confirmed in the major hadith collections then it is to be rejected.

Some Examples of the Lies against Prophets
1. Prophet Yaqub ( Jacob ) can never Lie
In the following reference we see that its told that Prophet Yaqub is lying to his father (Astagfirullah). All Prophets are innocent and they can never lie.
When Isaac (pbuh) grew old and his eye sight had weakened, he had a desire for food, so he asked his son Esau to go hunting and bring him some cooked game. Esau asked him to bless the food and pray for him. Esau, a hunter, went out to get his father the meat. Rebekah, overhearing this, ordered her son Jacob to slaughter two goats of his best flock and cook them as his father liked and bring it to him before his brother returned.
She dressed Jacob in his brother's clothes and put goat skin on his arms and neck, for Esau was
hairy while Jacob was not. When he approached his father with the food, his father asked: 'Who
are you?' Jacob answered: 'I am Esau.' When his father finished eating, he prayed for his son
to be the more blessed brother and to prevail over them and all people, and for Allah to sustain
him and his children.
When he left his father, his brother Esau, who had carried out his father's command, entered.
Isaac asked him: "What is this my son?" He answered: "This is the food you like." Isaac asked:
"Did you bring it an hour ago and ask me to pray for you?" Esau said: "No, I swear I did not,"
and he knew his brother had preceded him in this matter and he was sick at heart. (Reference : Page 56, Stories of Prophets by Ibn Kathir . Also in Tareekh e Tibri )

2. Jacob and Esu fighting in Mother's womb (Astagfirullah)
Here is a snapshot of Page 221 of Tareek e Tibri where its told that Jacob and Esu were fighting in mother's womb ,Esu threatened to kill mother by hitting the womb and Jacob came out by holding the heel of his brother Esu. Astagfirullah
3. The Bani Al Asfar myth
Hadith has called the Europeans as Bani Al Asfar which means sons of the Blonde or Yellow.Everyone knows that Arabs looked at Europeans as the people with Blonde hair and that is why they were called the sons of the Blonde.
But again a lie is told Esu had yellow skin that is why Europeans are known as Bani Al Asfar (Sons of the Yellow or Blonde). Who has ever seen any one in the world with blonde skin colour ?

Imam Malik on Ibn Ishaq:
Imam Malik was not the only contemporary of Ibn Ishaq's to have problems with him. Despite writing the earliest biography of Prophet Muhammad, Scholars such as al-Nisa'I and Yahya b. Malik bin Anas Bin Malik bin Abu Amir Al-Asbahi (715-801 C.E.) or Imam Malik-- lived cloest in the time to the life of Prophet Muhammad of all the collectors of the hadith (Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, etc). He was born more than 80 years after the death of the Prophet. Imam Malik was a complier of a respected hadith collection, called Muwatta. Imam Malik was a hadith scholar. Imam Malik called Ibn Ishaq a liar and an imposter for writing false stories about Prophet Muhammad. Imam Malik has said that Ibn Ishaq "reports traditions on the authority of the Jews".(Kadhdhab and Dajjal min al-dajajila. Uyun al-athar, I, 16-7)
Imam Hanbal and Iand Ahmad on Ibn Ishaq
Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal was asked about the solitary reports of Ibn Ishaq if they are considered reliable. He said “No!”. See Tahdhib al-Tahdhib, Da’ira Ma’arif Nizamia, Hyderabad, 1326 A.H. vol.9 p.43
Because of his tadlīs (unrealible sources) many scholars including Muhammad al-Bukhari hardly ever used his narrations in their sahih books.

According to al-Khatib al-Baghdādī, all scholars of ahadith except one no longer rely on any of his narrations, although truth is not foreign to him.

Others, like Ahmad ibn Hanbal, rejected his narrations on all matters related to fiqh. Al-Dhahabī concluded that despite his good qualities any narration solely transmitted through him should probably be considered as containing munkar. The Western take ref of ibn ishaq
Out of the 400 footnotes of the enemy of Islam i.e Robert Spencer's book, 120 footnote refer to fabricated stories from Ibn Ishaq's book. Because Robert Spencer hates Islam so much that he is willing to present these stories as if they are true, even though he knows that their source is unreliable.
OPINION OF IBN ABBAS
Ibn Abbas
Ibn Abbas was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), an Islamic scholar and a important commentator of the Quran, who
was given a special prayer by the Prophet to teach the Quran. [4] Ibn Abbas, clearly states that the Bible (or the Jewish and Christian scriptures)
is corrupt:
Narrated 'Ikrima:Ibn 'Abbaas said, "How can you ask the people of the Scriptures about their Books while you have Allah's Book (the Qur'an) which is the most recent of the Books revealed by Allah, and you read it in its pure undistorted form?" (Bukhari Volume 9, Book 93, Number 614)
Narrated 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah: 'Abdullah bin 'Abbaas said, "O the group of Muslims! How can you ask the people of the Scriptures about anything while your Book which Allah has revealed to your Prophet contains the most recent news from Allah and is pure and not distorted? Allah has told you that the people of the Scriptures have changed some of Allah's Books and distorted it and wrote something with their own hands and said, 'This is from Allah, so as to have a minor gain for it. Won't the knowledge that has come to you stop you from asking them? No, by Allah, we have never seen a man from them asking you about that (the Book Al-Qur'an ) which has been revealed to you. (Bukhari Volume 9, Book 93, Number 614)
Ibn Abbas position is clear. According to him, the Jews and Christians have corrupted their scriptures.
CONCLUSION
Take reference of Quran and authentic ahadith only and do not go for the Jewish and Chrisitan traditions
